Blue Circle / Hour Glass

When a user clicks on a grid and my code in AfterRowColChange fires, windows is left displaying a blue circle as if it's busy until the mouse moves or something else is pressed. I do not think that that would be workable. If there are that many users, the end user who would "proceed" likely does not have authorisation to incur expenses on behalf of the client. If you were marketing a vertical app and pricing it per license, would you consider a license specific to the installed machine or keep track of users logged in and make sure the active user count doesn't go over the # of licenses the client purchased? My VFP9SP2 app uses the latter, and goes against a MariaDB database.

Using the ACE OleDB Driver to connect to Excel from VFP.

This is the driver installed via: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54920, Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable. It installs the ACE 12 OLEDB and ODBC drivers so you can (for example) query Excel sheets using SQL into a VFP cursor. I've been using the 2010 version for years. This version isn't playing ball with VFP however. It appears to be installed correctly because I can pull data out of a sheet from a C# program. However trying to do the same from VFP, with the exact same connection string throws up a dialog looking for a data source to specified, and if you cancel that the SQLCONNECT() fails. Trashed class library

Hi all A few minutes ago I was working on a single form class in a class library. At some point VFP stopped responding and I had to kill the VFP process. After that I still had the VCT but not the VCX. Is there any possibility I might be able to recover the missing VCX? If so, what tool(s) would you recommend? I am not very hopeful ... :( Many thanks Paul Newton

Had installed FabNet on a prospective client's computer and when previewing reports, for some reason, everything was enlarged and getting cut off on the righthand side. In one report, I got a report error (but not an error that would have triggered the bug reporting). I switched to 80 mode and then all reports showed fine and no errors at all. Weird. Anybody experience that kind of freakiness before with reporting? My projecthook clears out the TAG, TAG2 values so no printer information is embedded.

Saw this today while looking for other stuff: https://www.screencast.com/t/PyvZvy53oZFu Never saw anyone declare a variable AS "Empty" before? I guess that's basically this: loMenuItem = CREATEOBJECT("Empty") (although you'd still have to write that code, of course, since no instantiation in declaration in VFP). ???
