VPN on the fly

Throwing this out to the wisdom of the crowd. For many, many years we have been doing some data interchange in our VFP application between back office DBs (VFP or SQL) and a centrally located SQL DB via ODBC. The question has been raised about encrypting that traffic by going through a VPN tunnel. I was wondering if anyone here has implemented a VPN on the fly before making ODBC requests. Preferably I could only make this connection when I need it as opposed to firing up a VPN before the application starts as most things done by the program do not require this data interchange. See also legacy. legacy adj. A pejorative term used in the computer industry meaning "it works." The first is mine; the latter is from my sig collection. It is interesting how these sorts of articles do not seem to get into why the language is still around. Hoare said about Algol 60, "Here is a language so far ahead of its time, that it was not only an improvement on its predecessors, but also on nearly all its successors." Displaying Content on a TV

We want to display a list of orders on a TV. coming from a VFP based system. Thus far I have generated a report to PDF, then converting that to a JPEG and displaying that on the TV/ Very clumsy and we have not been able to automate...
