Just a warning I have an app that closes everything after running. As I like the task pane up I look to see if in development mode (the app that is) and do sys(2004) + “taskpane.app” This seems to freeze VFP. The task pane shows up but empty and stays that way. VFP9 full top up on windows 10 home. Why do they sell that? Al

At a guess whatever component the Task Pane uses to access the internet is not present on Win 10, or is otherwise blocked somehow. Try running VFP as an administrator and see if that helps.
Hi,
This application which closes everything, what is the name / what is the download URL?
Regards, Koen

Al, You need to soap toolkit (soapsdk.exe). I haven't looked but maybe Win 10 doesn't have this as standard.

In addition to the recommendation to install the SOAP toolkit, I would turn off the Task Pane's default to check for new content. There hasn't been any, at least via the default locations that it checks, for many years now.
