Cleaning out a non-working VFP installation on Windows 10

I have a desktop and a laptop with non-functioning installations of VFP9. I am thinking that I should remove any previous versions before doing a new installation but the recommended method to do so involves having Windows do the uninstal. The Apps list on these machines no longer includes VFP9 so that method is not an option. I did delete the C:\Program Files\(x86\Microsoft Visual Foxpro 9.0 folder Is it essential to clean up all files and registry entries or will the new installation simply overwrite any entries already there? VFP installation issues

I have downloaded an ISO and successfully started the installation process. At this point I am on the screen that wants the product key. I searched the registry but cannot find the product key. I did find a product id but it has only three embedded hyphens and the entry form expects four. Does anyone have a suggestion other than to keep looking for my CD and packaging? So, I just made a reply in another thread, but, didn't want to truly hi-jack it - so, am starting a new one. And, yeah - it's partially about the Vfpx.org site that I went to. It got me thinking... Since VFP is Dead in the eyes of MS. I'm really curious to know. Can one legitimately download a full install version of VFP - a full Dev environment - and it's fully legal to do? Came across this in the context of searching for something else: https://www.vfphelp.com/help/index.htm This appears to be a version of the VFP9 Help file from VFPX updated most recently in 2020. Wondering if anyone here knows who owns vfphelpc.om and posted this? (Looking at you , w00dy.) If so, it would be nice if it got regenerated in the latest version of WWHB as Rick added some search enhancements relatively recently. 😊 -- rk

Report Designer version

I have been consulting Microsoft's CoPilot for VFP questions related to Report Designer. Many of the answers I get back seem to be for a different version of the designer. ?Version() on my system returns "09.00.000.5815" Is this the latest version? Do I need some service packs? Is there an updated Report Designer version available that I should get? My current issue with the designer is how to accumulate the total of the amount field on the detail lines and print it on the Group footer. The tutorials I've seen stop before they get to that point. A recommendation for a site or book as a Report Designer reference would be appreciated as well. Looking for VFP Work - OR...

...literally almost ANY Kind of work! I know there really is NOT much call for VFP programmers these days - as we know it's been kind of Dead for years now. I have on occasions seen VFP jobs on Dice.com - although that site tends to be a bit Dicey. Even occasionally something on Indeed.com - but, again - few and far between. Will admit - I've got a little skills in Python - but, I've really only Dabbled. So, generally, not even enough Python under my belt to get a paid gig. I'm also very much open to other types of work, including Remote work. Additionally - I have experience in doing Tech Support (which I did at Northrop-Grumman) - which was general computer tech support. As well as doing Tech support within the 3D Printing industry. I also did teaching at the college level for 10 years in NYC, which can in theory translate to corp. training type work gigs. If anyone wants to view my resume - feel free to reach out directly to me - and I will pass it over to you. In the meantime, I'm seriously struggling to survive - with no actual income. I've even applied to 2 jobs at Lowe's hardware stores - 1 at each of 2 different stores - and got rejected from both jobs. I think they felt I was Way Over Qualified. I thought I have heard of this MAGI ERP thing maybe here in the ProFox forum at one point. But, I just did a bit of a search and couldn't really find anything. Am I wrong about this?
