It's swatting flies with a howitzer. Does each user have Outlook installed on their own machine, or are they sharing a VM or Remote-Desktop'ing into a single machine? If it's a simple configuration it should be straight-forward and if it's more complex, well, let us know. If it's one person per Outlook, you should be able to configure them to access the Gmail account directly and read the mail there. Log onto Gmail via a web browser and select the gear icon in the upper right ("Settings") and "See All Settings" and then the tab labeled "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" and look for the "Configure your email client" links for the setup you need to do in Outlook. I'm not positive whether POP (an ancient protocol) or IMAP (a slightly less geriatric) is more appropriate for your situation, and you may need to do some experimentation to get the behavior you want. Variations in CSV settings by region

Throwing this one out to the collective wisdom. We're doing a lot with CSV import/experts these days with our web-based WWC application and are running into issues with regionalization. Here in the US, a "standard" CSV means commas between data elements and double quotes around text elements. But in Belgium, the delimiter is the semi-colon and text elements are not wrapped in double quotes. As best I can tell, Excel determines what format to use by the OS settings and not its own application settings. This makes importing from a CSV a bit of a dance for our Belgian clients as they have to change their regional settings, import the file that was received in US format, and then change their settings back. And, of course, changing region affects date and currency formats. For those of you working with clients from multiple locations where the standards may be different, what strategies do you use to deal with this? Thank you Christof As strange as this might sound.... The most reliable results we recently had with Ubuntu as the server instead of Windows. With Ubuntu you can entirely disable all caching and all oplocks which both are the reasons for the problems we have in VFP. Windows doesn't disable all of them, even if you ask nicely. For Windows here's my current set of registry settings that must be applied to the server and the client and requires a reboot of both when making any changes. Hey all, i was just notified that the recent Win 10 update, KB5001330 shuts off SMB1 on Windows 10. Just a heads-up for SMB3: VFP is completely capable of SMB3. I have a customer with a clustered Hyper-V Server (i.e two identical boxes in parallel mode), running a VM with my DBF files as a regular fileserver-share. That's a Restaurant-System in 24/7 mode; i.e. those DBF files are always in use. The HyperV-server does his routinely updates and occasionally reboots and then switches the VMs from one machine to the other without interruption of the SMB3 connection, even though the other box has (of course) a different network card, IPs etc. Just for testing, I tried to run a Client with SMB1 only connection and got plenty problems with lost connections and dataaccess troubles. SMB3 is vital and necessary for all modern Windows Server operations, don't shut that off or you will get killed by some admin. SMB1 is not needed anymore in todays worlds. As long as you have local (Client) DataCaching and OpLocks disabled, everything is ok. In your VFP EXE at startup check those Registry keys from Christof's list, and yell if they are wrong. No, you can't change them from inside your EXE, since those are machinewide settings and therefor require AdminRights. wOOdy
