XFRX to Excel just repeating the first record.

I'm creating Excel output using the XFRX driver. The basis for the report is a cursor which has in my test setup about 40 records. It's created using SQL Select with the nofilter clause. There are no relations in to it or out from it. It is the currently selected table when running the report. The issue is that the XLSX file produced just has the same record repeated about 4,000 times. First visit for my wife and me. Loved it! Went on several tours and visited with some cousins of hers from Norwich. Would definitely come back for another visit...we'd even more over here. We were impressed...and the prices weren't too bad. Any ProFoxers from the Norwich or surrounding areas?

Janis Booth, RIP

I'm sad to pass on news that Janis Booth has passed away. Janis may be more familiar to you as "Jim" during her active FoxPro career. She was 66. Janis was a 2013 winner of the FoxPro Lifetime Achievement Award [1], a Microsoft MVP 1993-2003, a key member of the 1994 Microsoft MVP Steering Committee, author of Hentzenwerke's "Effective Techniques" with Steve Sawyer, updated by dFPUG for VFP 9[2], co-author of "Visual FoxPro Unleashed" from Sams, a frequent magazine contributor, including the premiere issue of FoxPro Advisor, and a speaker at conferences in North America and Europe. [3] Where ever Janis was at a conference, there was likely to be a party. A LOUD party. And scotch. Tom Rettig taught her appreciation of good single-malt. I will raise a glass of Macallen tonight, hoping that Tom and Janis are, too. In later years, Janis was an activist with various community outreach organizations, advocating for the fair treatment of LGBT people. Janis was my friend for many years, and I will miss her. In my neck of the woods (Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada), a number of communities were evacuated due to wildfires including one city of 11,000. Kamloops, though not endangered, got a lot of smoke due to the weird valley shape; when a 1-10 air quality scale had Kamloops at 48, you know it was rough. Fortunately, we are through the worst. I understand there were areas in the U.S.A. that were also suffering from wildfires though I have no details. If you have not posted here for a while, please reply to this thread. Just thought I'd check to make sure everyone in the path of Irma is safe. It possible those who had to evacuate can't respond to this, but perhaps they will when they can. Event logging

Fellow Foxers, Just a little aside to late Wednesday afternoon: I have a heavyweight data entry program in VFP written which supports one monster form with pageframes stacked inside each other each page containing various visual classes down to up to 10 levels. This form is now showing its age as it has been added to over some 20 years and never been streamlined or optimised in any way. The main problem is that the switching from the main form pageframe onto each of the 10 tabs in the pageframe is somewhat slow running on the network and I am sure that it is all the Draw(), Paint() and refresh repeat calls that are affecting it. So, I have decided to rip it apart and find out just where the majority of the repeat "refresh" coding is being done. I thought I could initially use the event Logger but it doesn't log calls to any refresh methods so then I turned my mind to the coverage logger which doesn't really help me at all. Anyone any ideas as to how I can easily accumulate the calls to the various controls refresh methods and get some simple statistics to have a look at where all the processing effort is going? All I can think of is to programmatically bind a "logging procedure" event to each control's refresh event and then log the results into something like a csv table for further analysis or at worst, log events by collecting information from the refresh events in the base classes for each control but that would be very long winded. Any other ideas other than those mentioned? Dave
