I used a similar code. Actually what I had to do was put the original code (the one quoted in my first email on this) in a prg, called from the form I had this code within a loop (that iterated some 400 times) in my send_email form. But it would not work. When I took the code out of the form and placed it into a prg, it worked! A pseudocode of my form calling the prg is: select curInvoices scan all cTo = alltrim(curInvoices.email) && get the email from each customer cAttach = alltrim(curInvoices.invoice) && contains path to the pdf and its individual name do sendemail with cTo,cAttach endscan I also put a counter to iterate 10 times, then wait 15 seconds and then pick another ten emails and so on. This is to avoid gmail rejecting a big load of emails sent at once. Of course I had to turn on the 'less secure apps' setting on the Gmail account first, and then it worked perfectly. I wonder why it would not work with the cdo code directly on the form. BTW, my client runs this app from a Windows 7 prof computer, for what its worth. I thought I'd pass this tip along. If you have large text fields with numeric values, like insurance policy numbers or UPC Codes, you have to format the cell with custom type ############### or similar, otherwise the CSV file gets scientific notation values, even if the cell is of type text. Dynamic DNS, was (preferably free) unattended remote access

I haven't tried the GoDaddy API for ddns. Let us know how that works. I've got a (FREE!) account at DuckDNS https://www.duckdns.org/install.jsp and I've been using that, with the clients where I have an embedded server, to run a ddclient that keeps the duckdns DNS entries up to date. I added a second level of abstraction, so I've added CNAMEs of client1.tedroche.com, client2.tedroche.com to my own DNS, as I've got a DNS with unlimited entries, and that way I can depend on these CNAMEs in scripts and configuration files, even if I switch to FredsFreeDNS or whatever. Focus not returning to command window after CreateObject

Hi all In the command window if I run the command o = CreateObject("Excel.Application"), an instance of Excel is created and focus returns to the command window. If I run the command o = CreateObject("Stopwatch.Stopwatch"), an instance of my stopwatch (in Stopwatch.EXE) is created but focus does NOT return to the command window. Any ideas? TIA Paul Newton

Send (hot) keys to a Windows application

Hi all I have an external application that responds to hot keys (e.g. CTRL+ALT+S) even when its window is not active/on top. Any ideas as to how I could send that key combination from VFP? Many thanks Paul Newton

Slightly off-topic, your indulgence please. A friend of a friend finds themselves at the end of 30+ year career in a need of a new position. Highly skilled technical writer, worked in several of the well known high-tech firms. Needs a new placement, full-time, part- or contractual. I don't know where I should suggest she look, besides the usual platitudes of "call all your contacts and exercise your networks," which she's already working.
