I think Nirsoft SearchMyFiles can do it: search parameters : *.mobi, "non-duplicate" search , specify where to search (include directory A), and (if you wish) where to not search, it may take a while, but when done you can sort results by 'directory' and easily see (and copy, etc) files in folders outside of directory A
