Hi all
Probably a long shot but has anyone managed to get labels printing to a Dymo 450 Twin Turbo.
I am trying to get it to choose the correct spool (printer has two) . It always defaults to the last one printed to.
There is sample code for VB but nothing for Fox. Would've expected if I have the driver installed I can just put the info into the frx memo field but doesn't seem to want to play.
Thanks
Graham

I had used the Dymo ActiveX to switch which side the job needed to print to. I printed everything through the ActiveX. I don't know if the latest software ships the ActiveX control. I know the .NET library they have available doesn't work in .NET 6. That and the expensive 550 printers and the requirements to use their labels with it got me to abandon supporting the Dymo twin printers.
There might be something like an old Epson dot matrix type code that switches sides. I didn't research that. Without knowing the printer has two paper feeds. Time was not on my side.

Yes, I “print” to both the 450 and the 550. But I’m doing this in a web-based application so ymmv. I don’t have different spoolers to deal with but I do have different label sizes. I found I had to save the printer environment to get it to behave.
IIRC the spooler setting is a line in the EXPR field in the first record of the LBX. One approach could be you have separate LBXs; one for each spooler choice. An alternative might be to hack the LBX on the fly to inject the preferred spooler.
Have a mentioned I hate hardware and especially specialty printers like this? 😊
