Got a stupid 108 error on a simple INSERT INTO SQL today, yet no other application had that program/table open, and all usage is SHARED (set exclusive is OFF).
Anybody else ever get an Error 108 on a simple INSERT where there's no exclusive use???
I haven't used dbfs in years and can't say I've ever got this error but this might help:

Yeah I stopped using DBFs in 2004!!!!! Took over Jeff Johnson's (RIP) client a few years back when he passed which is an all Fox backend.
I added the SET TABLEVALIDATE TO 0. Will see if that helps. I don't have any RLOCKs or FLOCKs on this table. In this case, it's a simple logging table that only gets INSERT INTO commands to it. Never UPDATE or DELETE.
Thanks for the lead, Frank!!!

Our customers occasionally get an error like this. Most of the time we find it is related to Anti-Virus or On-Demand backup tools causing the problem. Sometimes, but it's more rare, it's related to network (LAN) issues and the machine with the DBF is over taxed.

Even with SET TABLEVALIDATE TO 0, I was *still* getting the Error 108 on the simple INSERT INTO (lcFile) command. In the Exception WHEN event, I added a WAIT WINDOW TIMEOUT 1 "Retrying" and then reissued the call to the same method (ala recursion).
Testing now....
