Why you should not develop apps for Windows 10
My point for posting this is are we all expecting more automated messaging to help fix things these days that we lose sight of the real problem?
The response from MS sort of reminds me of the responses you see on a lot of the MSDN forums where some MS person will just paste the same reply in multiple times, and it usually has no relation whatsoever to the problem.

And often seems to make you think "Wait...do you understand what I'm saying? Is English your primary language?" Frustrating.

When you read the names you can guess that English is a second language for most of the their people.
India, Eastern Europe or Indonesia have a lot of content posters.
I thought it was just me thinking that was fact. So many people posting a Q and the M$ turd replying back with a read this blog for your fix. Same person comes back a while later in time stamp and states that didn't help. M$ replys the same post.
Have had some issues in SharePoint upgrade to 2013 and found a slew of that happening.

Almost makes you wonder if they're automated systems post that crap. Think of the decision tree diagrams you've seen for routing calls through automated systems. I effing HATE those! And the new systems are now "intellient enough" to understand your voice response; well, just hope that the folks around you aren't talking or you sneeze or say something aside...screws it all up. UGH
Exactly. The first EVER answer is probably used over and over again automatically.
One reason to never consider a M$ driverless automobile.

I can see it now.... anytime you call for support regardless of the problem they send you instructions on how to replace a bulb in the headlights.... <g>

Every time you pull into the garage you hit the same thing over and over.

That's the point I've made to people. When they claim that M$ doesn't support VFP anymore - I say its BS. Since, generally speaking - NOBODY contacts M$ for a problem w/a VFP app - you contact the Developer! And, use Dev's don't contact M$ - instead - we just hang out Here and Vent our problems!!!

Nobody wants to buy a karmann ghia today.
FoxPro is a great product that is frozen in time as well as features. So much has changed in business applications that you would really need to get the app for free to overcome the limitations.
Mobile Technology today is probably #1. Dealing with data in OLAP as well as cubes Having multiple types of input documents that create transactions in your system. Ability to publish data to Excel and tweak things and excel republish it back to the raw data.
Not to mention security problem from antivirus vendors. Any IT person at a potential new client that cannot receive a test, new purchase or update from you and needing to be told how to screw with their AV so your app works. Yeah that is a doozy.

EXACTLY!!!!! In my nearly 20 years of using FoxPro, NOT ONCE have I ever had to contact M$. NEVER.
I actually don't know why people bother with MSDN forums any more. For almost any widely-used and current platform or technology you will get the best help on the relevant Stack Exchange site.
I still found Google groups much better and more close than Exchange and others, and you can see all postings and threads ordered, like the old newsgroup servers. Newagroups are designed for that purpose after all. El 22/01/2016 11:00, "Alan Bourke" alanpbourke@fastmail.fm escribió:

Personally I hate Stack Exchange.
A me too. I used to get MSDN but I found the explanation's on them, or Microsoft's web site for that matter, hard to follow and went elsewhere anyway. At the moment I wanted to update Visual Studio to 2015 but I either take the free one, or I have to pay for MSDN as well. As I don't want MSDN I refused to buy it. Al
