Now that's a trip down memory lane...
Is it just me or does Walt Kennamer look a bit like George Costanza... <g>

When I saw the floppy disk I had to ask that stupid question. When was the last time I had a floppy drive to read one of those?

I was at that Devcon. It's statistically astounding to witness the dearth of musical talent in that group of incredibly skilled VFP gurus... Not a one was capable of carrying a tune. <g,d&r>

I would say there's a sampling error here. I know Barbara is a respected chorister; toured Europe and everything. And several of the others *could* carry a tune. There was little prep (we were still expected to deliver presentations, IN ADDITION to our musical performances!) no chance to warm up or even get a cue, and it was pretty much one take and done.
I for one, am guilty as charged; need a big bucket to carry a tune.
I believe I still have the Fox is Magic merch, too.
No offense intended to any of the would-be contestants in that America (and the UK) Has Talent audition tape... 😊
I do recall sitting in the lobby at the end of a Whilfest and Chet Gardiner had a guitar with him. He could play.

We had musicians! Guitarists gathered and played late into the night.
Rick Strahl and Andy Griebel were also in bands, though quite different ones ;)
Janis Booth could belt out a tune.
John Hawkins could often be found at the piano, and he could play (or fake) pretty much any request.
And there's a video of Eldor Gemst at Karaoke night that was (in) famous....
Oye, I'm glad none of those folk quit their day jobs! lol

That brought back some memories, not all good. I remember struggling to get my head around the Foundation Read :-)

And another Throwback Thursday: the keynote presentation from the FoxPro DevConnections 2000 in New Orleans.
Lots of good stuff presented at that show: http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~DevCon2000
And there were pictures: https://www.tedroche.com/homepage/~tedroche/Photos/NolaPix/Index.htm

Definitely good times. I had just started VFP one year earlier in 1999.
