Hi all
I am having ongoing problems with my Lexmark X543 multifunction colour laser printer (with automatic duplex). It seems that it would be uneconomic to repair so I am looking for a replacement. So far I have shortlisted three models from three different manufacturers - HP, Brother and OKI. I am tempted by the OKI (MC562dnw) because it is shipped with 2K toners and has a free 3 year on-site warranty. Has anybody had experience (good or bad) with printers from this manufacturer?
I am not that keen on the HP (LaserJet Pro M281fdw) because it uses a composite CMY cartridge instead of separate C, M and Y cartridges.
Thanks
Paul Newton
HP are always expensive on consumables as are OKI but your find looks like a good deal.
In my experience Brother normally come out on top in terms of cost per copy and availability of consumables and are extremely reliable.
OKI quality seems to have dropped somewhat since their 1990's Dot Matrix dominance of the printer market but their lasers are normally built up to a standard way in excess of other manufacturers as they concentrate on the business market more than the home user.

Thanks for the feedback Dave. I also see that it comes with the 3 year on-site warranty and 2K toners but sadly it is out of stock. I'll check to see when they expect to have stock again ...

If you do a lot of printing the (inkjet) Epson ink-tank models save on consumables.

Hi Paul,
I had posted on here awhile back about printers are resoundingly folks recommended Brother. My experience with Brother laser printers in the past 15 years has been great. (I don't mess around with inkjets.)
Cheers, --Mike
Mike
Another Brother fan! I am in fact also considering a Brother so the feedback is very welcome

I can recommend the Epson Workforce series. Very fast, durable and good printing quality. Very low power consumption, and the ink is instantly dry, and waterproof and even marker-resistant. https://epson.com/For-Work/Printers/Inkjet/c/w110?q=%3Aprice-asc%3Adiscontin uedFlag%3Afalse%3APrinters+Facets%2CPrimary+Use%3AFor+Business%3APrinters+Fa cets%2CPrinter+Series%3AWorkForce+Pro+WF~102Series&text=#scrollTgt_onRefresh
One customer of mine has about 25 of them (WF-5110) and they definitely are well equipped for business use. I especially like the big ink-cartriges which are very maintenence-free and replacable even by the typical office-dummy.
They also provide a series with huge ink-bottles: https://epson.com/ecotank-super-tank-printers
as well as 100 pages per minute highspeed printers: https://epson.com/For-Work/Printers/Inkjet/WorkForce-Enterprise-WF-C20590-A3 -Color-Multifunction-Network-Printer/p/C11CE47201
