As part of my backup routine I copy the entire contents of my D drive to a folder D_Backup on an external drive using Robocopy. For some bizarre reason Windows insists on making D_Backup a hidden folder. On my desktop machine I have the Show hidden items box ticked so can see it but if I try to remove the Hidden flag in Properties it is greyed out. If I look at the same drive from my laptop I can't see the folder despite the Show hidden items box being ticked. Does anyone know of an explanation for this behaviour and how I can make my backup folders visible? It rather defeats the object if I can't see my backup folders.
TIA
