Well I suppose the subject says it all - I really don't want to have to set it all up again from scratch, so any suggestions as to how I can reset or bypass the password would be very welcome. Many thanks.

There are approaches out there involving booting from the install media and using the utilman utility, if you Google them.
Do you have any RDP shortcuts that would have the password saved or anything maybe ?

I had googled the problem and found lots of software that purports to solve the problem but didn't really trust the, to be safe/free of "nasties". I will look into UtilMan.
