Ugh, no need for this sort of thing.
Just set the whole website read-only? At least people can still read the wikis.

FWIW, you can go to archive.org and type fox.wikis.com and it will show you archived versions of the pages.

That's just a backup, which might disappear some days.
Is it really impossible to set fox.wikis.com read-only blocking all writers?

All of mankind's works are like dust in the wind.
If you are worried that the Internet Archive will disappear, you could always download all the pages of the fox wiki from there onto your own media.
Some search engines also allow access to cached pages.
If the fox.wikis.com proprietors really wanted to make it all disappear, they'd update their robots.txt file and many cached copies would fail.

Of course it could be done. That is not what the owner intended.
Wiki is read-write. Read-only Wiki just text. Is it still Wiki?

That's a dangerously out-of-date copy of Fedora. You should update your email footer.
I met a traveller from an antique land, Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand, Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed; And on the pedestal, these words appear: My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings; Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair! Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away.”
Ozymandias, Shelley
Just go to the ARCHIVE of the web.

Until the problem was fixed, no harm setting the whole wiki read-only. Just explain it in the index.html.

Oh well, I haven't updated my signature in Gmail for a long, long time. :)
I think Gmail changed the UI and I need to find that signature setting...
I could swear that Steve Black blocked the IP address when the infamous JVP worked back in 2004/2005 (because I was there too and I distinctly recall I couldn't access it). I guess with VPNs nowadays such an attempted block wouldn't be possible.
