I've started a job with my county government and I was working with the Fire Marshal and he was showing me the system they use to track properties, and who occupy the properties. In case there is a fire or emergency they need to have an idea on who are in the spaces in case there needs to be a rescue. Evidently a version of this system runs in all of their trucks as well.
