Anybody using this dev tool to build apps for iPhone? I know some of you have used B4A (for Android)...Dave Crozier, right?
Just curious at this point. No work slated for it (yet).
Mike, Works really well and is about 95% code compatible if not more with B4a the android version so code is portable. The product has grown from a trial version to a full blown product now and the support is excellent. I wrote a "talking checklist" program for use when flying an about half a day. Recommended.
Dave

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the confirmation. What database do you connect to and how do you do it (direct ODBC connection, web service, or what)?
Mike, I use standard SQLite as a local database but I also have an app with external SQL Server/MySQL Link. The libraries and techniques for both are well documented on the B4i site and help is available from many other developers (as per here) on the forum site.

This works very well.

This same tool can do apple compile from your same codebase. No it is not java......

Thanks, Steve! Does that work with the free version of Visual Studio or must you buy the paid one?
It comes free if you want to add it in. 2017 you chose what you want your development experience in that you can download so many options it could make you head hurt thinking, do I want of need that?
I paid for Xamarian before it was partnered into M$. I was pretty good back then for doing android apps. Then work went to pure apple and that project died. It held local data and fetched all crud operations on data easily.

I guess it needs to bundle up the dot net framework in the apk? What's the overhead like?
I've only written a noughts and crosses game for Android in Java. Not a huge Java fan but it's similar enough to C# so I can work with it.
Am curious about that game reference. Are you on the other side of the Big Pond - U know - in Britain?
My guess as to that game. A game kids play over here - make a grid of points on paper - then you go back and forth connecting the dots with single lines. When a line connects to make a box - you put your name in it. Player with most boxes is the winner. However, a quick Google search revealed its simply Tic-Tac-Toe!

Kurt, A similar game but you start with the 3 x 3 grid and place either a 0 or an X (each player is either designated a 0 or an X) in each cell. The one to generate a line either horizontally, vertically or diagonally wins.
Very Quick and games can be forced to a draw if you know the correct strategy.

Yeah - to be Honest - sounds Identical to Tic-Tac-Toe, which Google already seemed to prove.
Will admit - that's probably a nice and easy game to implement as a 1st game.
