Hi all
I have tried every which way (except the right way, obviously) to remove the dead entries from the community pane, and to add my own links as well, but the same ones keep coming back. Any ideas?
Thanks
Paul Newton
IIRC all the task pane metadata is in a table buried in your Windows profile folder but I primarily use the TP for the Environment Manager and Solution Samples.

That's right Richard - the info is held in PANECONTENT.DBF but nothing I do in there makes any difference Paul

It comes from a web service at http://fox.wikis.com/wikiwebservice.wsdl as far as I can see.
Thanks Alan - I'll take another look at PANECONTENT.DBF

The source is here Paul, maybe have a rummage through that?
https://github.com/VFPX/TaskPaneManager
Hi Alan
I did have a rummage through the source but didn't get very far - nowhere to be precise ☹

Worst case, don't rummage, debug it. If there's something odd in your environment, the collective wisdom isn't going to be able to get to the fine details. 😊

Not only is the source on GitHub, it was delivered with each and any VFP installation. Look into VFP9\Tools\XSource\VFPSource\TaskPane\
You may have to unpack the XSource.zip first.

How exactly are you removing dead entries and adding your own?
Alan
I am not worried yet about adding my own entries but I have removed the record from PaneContent.DBF that contains the web service wsdl reference and the default entries keep coming back
