I am leaving FPW26 because I have a new machine and no longer want to setup virtual XP
What site has Visual Foxpro free
Thank you
LOL....sorry, Charles, but I don't think it's free out there anywhere. The next question is just as interesting though: where to get it???? I'm guessing you could still get it from a MSDN subscription of some kind. Years ago they have the very cheap ISV program, iirc.
Good luck! --Mike

Yes, VFP is still available with the "Visual Studio Professional with MSDN" subscription. The license is perpetual, so you only need to subscribe for the shortest time possible. Be aware, though, there is also a subscription that you pay by the month which is NOT perpetual.
I picked up a copy earlier this year on Ebay...

Hi Charles,
I don't think M$ gives any of it away for free, even older versions of their software?? Oh wait...they do give away some DotNet Studio versions, don't they? Sorry...I know that doesn't help you with the Fox need.
Hope the others tips help.

Visual Studio is free if that's what you mean. Visual Studio Code is free and open source.

VS is free to use and for a solo shop make money with. There are more features in the paid-for versions and those all tie to working in teams groups etc.
For all of the Mac and Linx folk there is a VS Code app that is a very lean VS for creating code in but it will powershell/script the heck out anything you need to do.
It might be a good idea to look into this now as .NET 5 is releasing today and there is a huge 3 day presentation of it from M$.
Marcus Edgar did a good preview of .NET 5 a few weeks ago.
