I recently ran across Ajit Abraham's github repo at https://github.com/Ajitweb/vfp10LargeTables where he guides you through importing a large dataset from imdb to show Visual Foxpro Advanced breaking the 2GB table size limit. I already had the 32bit version of Visual Foxpro Advanced installed so I tried this exercise with it and still got the table size large error that you'd get with VFP9. So I downloaded the 64bit version and installed and tried that with the same result. I am guessing that I am missing something simple or maybe the 32bit version I had on my laptop was too old and is causing a conflict of some kind? Anybody else seen this behaviour and know what I need to change? I am not trying to do this in production I was just curious and really wanted to see it for myself. Thanks!
Jeff,
In the version you can download without a subscription you need to enable large files sizes in the 64-bit version http://www.baiyujia.com/vfpdocuments/f_vfp9fix112.asp
