My step-son has a yahoo account. He showed me that now they're simply using an app on his phone to confirm his intention to log in instead of requiring a password. Seems like a great simple idea to me that may become the defacto standard for others in the future. No more trying to remember gazillion passwords...just confirm with your phone app! (Yes, I realize not everyone has smart phones, so there will have to be an alternative for those folks.)
Two factor authentication. Everyone's doing it.
Not very different from SMS notifications and authentication, in my opinion. :)
