So - sadly - I got rejected from the UCLA job! Believe me - it kinda freaked me out. They claimed that they had a pool of good candidates. But, alas - can that be true??? I mean - WTF - we know there are hardly any VFP programmers still around these days - and a good number of them have passed away over the years! They even claimed one foolish candidate did not even know the color of the FoxPro logo! Ugh...
As such, I kinda freaked out when I got the rejection letter - especially as I REALLY Needed to move ASAP - as life at my sister's house had become a disaster!!! Well, I then remembered I personally knew the CEO's of 2 different 3DP co's down in San Diego. I reached out to BOTH of them - and Bang - one of them got back to me in like 25min - telling me it was perfect timing - since he was currently looking for someone - and indeed had an open position - for a person to run & deliver 3D Print jobs.
I am now preparing to move down to SD this next weekend and leave SF. Hopefully it works out for the best. Of course, it will put me even Farther away from the FoxPro realm. However, I will still try to pop my head up here on occasion. Heck, maybe I can even meet some of the ProFox folks in person down there.

Just a short follow-up...
I actually worked the last 7 days. But, alas - its flexible - I can come and go when I want at the shop. I spent several hours yesterday as well as today - working on a weekend - but, alas - I enjoy it. Am also working to bring in new biz into the shop there - so, its fun, I'm learning stuff - and I am Hustling to make money! ALL good things!!!
And - yeah - the weather is Awesome down here - I feel like I am living in the Caribbean!

I’m about as far away from the FoxPro realm as could be, and I still manage to pop up here. I’m sure that your new gig will kick ass!

Hey there Ed - yeah, I hear ya. I hang out here - mostly cause its a place full of familiar "Faces"/names - and thus a lot of the time I do it more for the camaraderie!
And - yes, the new gig probably will Kick Arse! And, since I will be working with a guy who runs a 3DP biz - there is the potential to work with him to help me bring some of my creative product designs to market. Will try to follow-up here in the near future to let people know how things work out.
