I'm, ummm, asking for a friend..:)
Do you prefer gettings ProFoxTech emails individually or in digest mode? I've been using digest mode but I'm considering switching.
Thoughts?

I think Digest Mode is an artifact of the past, when slow computers and slower dial-up speeds made it slow to download, parse and store separate messages. Also, modern email clients make it easier for you to filter and organize mailing list messages into separate folders, essentially creating a digest on your end. So, I don't see an upside to Digest Mode. And replying to messages is a mess, as Kurt said.

Well, I replied to this 8 hours ago, but my reply didn't make it.
I said that "anything I say is considered [OT]". I didn't think that was offensive but . . .
Maybe the list has a filter that stops anything with [OT] in the body text, or something. It ain't easy being green . . .

Pete - FYI - I DID see your reply last night - the original one. But, I saw that in my personal home email. Here at work today - will admit I did NOT see that reply. So - who knows - maybe you mistakenly ONLY wrote your reply to me instead of to the list. And, I actually just now checked on my Cell Ph - and that is truly the case - your original reply you ONLY sent to me.
As for your actual comment - maybe anything you said in the Past was always OT - but, this time around - you properly stuck to the topic! Good job!!! :-)

Aha! The old reply vs. reply list problem.

You might ask, um, your friend, what advantage they think they get from digest mode.
"My friend" said he thought at first the digest was convenient because he would have them in one place so he could check them all at one time when he had time.
But "he" also said he was considering switching because he felt like he was always coming to a conversation after the fact, kinda like watching DVR'd copies of season finale shows after the new TV season starts.
As you can tell, "my friend" is very creative with his metaphors, mixed or otherwise.

Your friend is wise to consider alternatives. If we didn't, we'd all be hand-coding screens and reports. Some people still do.
But "he" also said he was considering switching because he felt like he was always coming to a conversation after the fact, kinda like watching DVR'd copies of season finale shows after the new TV season starts.
As a guy who just saw the last Harry Potter, and learned 5 years late who killed Laura Palmer, I can relate to this.
