We had a senior VP open an invoice that he shouldn't have and one of those started ripping through our space. We were lucky and found it early because a compromised machine no longer was doing what it should. We were very lucky.
Since then we have a different backup solution, a functioning DR solution and ability to run our network from an ATT cloud source like it was here. Or so we think.....
We have tested many parts of the solution but never a true turnover to it. Yeah, will hate that weekend.
So what is your DR situation like? Is your data off of your network as well as on it in backups? Ransomware doesn't give a flip if it is your backup files with "file security" or not.
