As for VFP, been up and running on Windows 10 64 Bit now for a week and no problems to report at all apart from the fact that it runs much faster than on Windows 7 (same machine and memory). Only gripe is that Windows has automatically rebooted twice for updates (presumably) overnight as I put this as the preferred update time and subsequently reloaded my two USB security disks which were encrypted but with the wrong drive assignments and leaving them locked by Bitlocker. Hence my overnight backups haven't been successful - Hey Ho, Life goes on!

Dave, I spent the last 4 days working on upgrading several Win7 Pro systems to Win10 Pro, and late last night I finally found the right combination of pieces to make it all work well. I upgraded my personal workstation using the online upgrade, and not a single application suffered in the process (and I have a gob of various programs installed on my 1TB drive!)
I did find that it's a very good idea to use an Administrator account to do the upgrade. Also, if you have Logmein installed, the Win10 upgrade will fail complaining about incompatible video drivers. I tried downloading and burning a DVD to use for the upgrades, and it always asks for a Registration Key even when updating a valid installation. After it rejected 5 different keys, three brand new and had never been used, I gave up on that approach.
Only 180+ systems left to go...
I agree that VFP9 SP2 seems snappier and so far I've seen just one true bug in the VFP+Win10 combo...which is that the caption bar control box buttons will revert to their old XP style if you define and display a form maximized...but if you maximize the form after it has already been displayed, the control box (min, max, close) buttons will show with the new Win10 minimalized look.
Probably the best thing in my opinion is that when a command, like a slow SQL statement, takes more than a few seconds, you don't get that stupid Windows 7 "not responding" thing on the caption bar. Things still take a while, but Windows just takes it in stride better.
I would HIGHLY recommend getting the free for any type of use and very well done Classic Start Menu at www.ClassicShell.net. I spent hours trying to figure out how to limit the damage end users could do with the new Win10 start menu, but after replacing it with Classic Start Menu my problems are mostly over. (I'm still trying to eliminate OneDrive from appearing in the File Explorer.) Also, check out the Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4.1.1 at www.TheWindowsClub.com. It will save you a lot of time with the Group Policy Editor (if, like me, you aren't using a domain.)
