I don't think I've ever had a drive I personally own die. Still got a 9Gb SCSI drive running in my Amiga 4000 :-)
Well I always heard that the SCSI drives lasted the longest (as opposed to the IDE drives)! They say these SSD drives are super fast (yes!) but they don't have the longevity like your SCSI either though...supposedly.
