I use the Opera browser. They have a free VPN which I have been using for several months.
Some sites tell you where you are - so far the locations are all over from Canada to Houston and other cities in the US. I have not had any problem with connections, speed, etc. However, some sites know that you are using a VPN and refuse to give you the web page you want. Then I have to use Firefox. I am interested in what others have to say about VPNs.

Wondering if any of you are using a 3rd party VPN service and if so, which services would you recommend or suggest I avoid? My use case: MacBook, iPhone/iPad devices while traveling.
Here's my short list (in no particular order):
- Private Internet Access
- PureVPN
- GetCloak
- SlickVPN
- NordVPN (recent PCMag Editors Choice)
Thanks, Malcolm
Hi Mal!
My Avast keeps trying to sell me on using them as a secure VPN service to keep my browsing history and banking safe/secure. At least that's what the ads say. <g>
