Depends on the level of server caching that is in operation.
Right click on the hard drive in computer management, select the Policies tab and remove the "Enable Write Caching on the device" setting if you want to disable it.

This is weird, Under computer management->shared folders->open files, I can see files that the server believes are open, listed with me having them open, after all my foxpro sessions are closed, even after a refresh. I know they're not open because I can open them exclusively with no error. They eventually go away, but it's 5 or more minutes later. I'm using Foxpro for Windows 2.6 and Windows Server 2008. I don't ever remember seeing this behavior before. Any ideas?
