I have a legitimate CD of VFP9 but it is currently not accessible. Previously when I tried to install it on Windows 10 the installation would not proceed for some reason. (I think it was related to the version of Windows.) I hope an ISO version of the installation can install on Windows 10 and ask for a license key from the original CD. Since My CD is hiding somewhere in my office I'm hoping I can retrieve the key from my other laptop that has a working installation. (This one had a working installation of VFP9 when it was upgraded to Windows 10.)
Should I give up on the ISO and copy the installation folder from the working machine. If I do - can I choose a different folder on the destination machine or will that foul up the works? (Woody recommends avoiding the default installation folder.)
Thanks in advance, Joe

There could be “used” copies I guess but I doubt highly there are any unsold virgin (for lack of a better term) copies floating around out there. But can you be sure it’s coming from a legitimate source? Also, I don’t know what the MS license says about transferring not that I think they particularly care. VFP is still dead. 😉
From a practical perspective, if you can get a used copy that's clean you can do what you want.

Hey RK - in regards to your comment of "there's no legitimate way to get a full VFP9 dev environment." - maybe there's a Legit seller on like Ebay or Amazon that has the full legit VFP9 package - with manuals and all. Then it may be possible to purchase a legit full Dev Env install. Just a thought...
A search on Amazon turned up 1 hit - but, it then stated currently not available.
But, on EBay - I did get a bunch of hits - including people selling 3.0 & 5.0 versions of VFP SW.
