If you have an image on a form similar to the situation in the link below then it is a relatively simple matter to use the API to define a rectangle and capture that as a bitmap image file. Also relatively easy to convert to other image formats using for example the offering in gdiplus. I am sure a number of other options exist too. So yes - possible.
