The British version of the Anglo-French Jaguar aircraft was one of the first military aircraft to use digital computing. Its entire navigation and weapon aiming system was in 8k of RAM - some very creative coding was needed :-)

This all puts me in mind of the days when hard drives were a high-end option, operating systems weren't standardized, and software had to fit on the most restrictive machine's floppy. (The TI-99 for what I was doing.) There was less than 100K to work with. Megabytes? Incomprehensible luxury.
