Hey RK - in regards to your comment of "there's no legitimate way to get a full VFP9 dev environment." - maybe there's a Legit seller on like Ebay or Amazon that has the full legit VFP9 package - with manuals and all. Then it may be possible to purchase a legit full Dev Env install. Just a thought...
A search on Amazon turned up 1 hit - but, it then stated currently not available.
But, on EBay - I did get a bunch of hits - including people selling 3.0 & 5.0 versions of VFP SW.

The runtime installer is the ... runtime installer; fully patched to SP3 with the last official hotfixes, iirc. 😊
Unless you can find an old VFP install CD or an MSDN subscription there's no legitimate way to get a full VFP9 dev environment. Did you happen to back up the Program Files folder hierarchy that you said you deleted? If so, you can probably finagle it.
VFPX moved to github a few years ago

I found the installer (12,537 kb) on another site but when I run it it
only
installs 6 files. Do I have the wrong installer? Is this only the runtime and not the full development system? What do I need to get to a fully updated system?
Thanks in advance, Joe

The vfpx runtime installer sounds like what I need. I went to the vfpx.org site but I don't see anything to download. How do I get the installer?
Thanks in advance, Joe

Thanks Tracy & wOOdy for posting that link - Vfpx.org
I had heard about that site a while back, don't remember if I had been
to
the site before. It's quite interesting indeed - especially as it
seems
that there's a community of very passionate people that are STILL Passionate about FoxPro!
I have a follow-up question - but, I do NOT want to Hi-Jack this
thread
so, gonna start a new one.

My experience has been fresh installs overwrite the registry

will
also install the necessary components from earlier Windows versions,
which
VFP
needs. wOOdy
