Strange that you are not seeing my messages. Anyway one of our testers _thought_ that blocking MyExecutable.EXE in Windows Firewall would/should prevent the browser form from displaying an internet web page. On the basis of your previous reply and explanation regarding OLE/COM interprocess communications I can now explain to him that that is simply not the case. And that _should_ be the end of the matter.

If I understand correctly, you want to open a local home page if the local workstation has internet access blocked. It's not clear to me why the admin is blocking this EXE, or if users are blocked from using the internet (an excellent idea, but perhaps a decade or two too late!)
I'd set the browser to navigate2 the company home page, and if you get an error, navigate2 the local HTML page.
Or am I misunderstanding what you are asking?

I think you have a misunderstanding. The VFP MyExecutable.EXE is not loading a web page. The MyExecutable is using OLE/COM interprocess communications to communicate with a *different* EXE -- the web browser -- and this is what it accessing the internet. The MyExecutable is just providing the UI window through which you see the browser control.

I have a VFP executable (MyExecutable.EXE) which has a form containing an OLEBrowser control. I want to temporarily block internet access from this form using the Windows (7) firewall. I have created a new Outbound Rule pointing to MyExecutable.EXE but the form still loads and displays a web page.
Any ideas?
