RK - I just tried the FREE TABLE <form.scx> thing - and VFP stated "... is not part of a Database."
I kinda figured that was not an option - since a Table must be part of a DBF in order to Set it Free!
Heck - at this point - I'm trying anything. I even compiled an EXE in the Live system area - copied that EXE over to my C: drive testing area - ran it - and get the Same Backlink error.
I'm pulling my hair out on this - and I don't have any hair left to pull out!

Bill’s advice seems more direct but you can also try issuing FREE TABLE <form.scx>.

*DO FORM common\forms\Logon2.scx *<<
Open up the Login form as a DBF NOUPDATE and go to record 6. Check the ClassLoc memo field or the Methods memo field or even the Reserved8 memo field (that holds the .H file if it exists). That'll take care of 98 percent of the issues. If you can't find it, check the other memo fields - it could be an OLE control or something like that.
Once you locate it, back it up, take off the NOUPDATE clause, edit directly in the DBF, save, compile the form and you're now unblocked.
