So Alex is complaining about the "simplicity and ubiquity [which] make[s] CSV an extremely popular way for organizations to exchange data both internally and externally"?

And my question is: If it is going to take all of this work and effort to change to something else, what's the point?

Did this guy ever work for Microsoft?
