Oh I've had error reporting built into my apps since 2003!!! It's the "process errors" that happen but are fine as far as the app is concerned. THOSE are the ones you cannot program for.

Doug Hennig has a lovely error reporting class built into his framework. Grabs all the relevant stuff, puts it in an email and let's the reporter add more details. I'm sure it encourages better error reporting from customers but it was too much effort to build into my ancient application.

Had a client complain about issues in their system that happened over a month ago.
WHERE'S THE NOTIFICATION? Yes, I can stop the bleeding, but if you're not communicating issues to me, I can't be expected to know everything that's going on.
