Trying to get a client's Outlook to talk with GMail. I've done this a hundred times before on various versions of Outlook, T-Bird, and real mail clients, but this one's kicking my butt.

Email: clientsname@clientsdomain.com PW: XXXXXXXXX - confirmed via the web interface to GMail.

Is your client using two-factor auth on gmail? (Everyone should be, but I digress).

If that's the case they will need to generate an application-specific PW for outlook.
