Left a company over their inability to consider porting from an OVERLOADED VB6 app into something more modern. We needed to validate price lists off the web to get workers comp insurance payment values and that VB6 app couldn't do it. We had a lot more issues like processing time on the SQL server but that is another story altogether.

Except crucially the VB6 runtimes have 'It Just Works' status meaning they will continue to work in future versions of Windows.
