Truecrypt is very good and I have used it for years. There was a bit of a
fuss
about the encryption algorithm being breakable but to all intents and purposes it is fine unless you really really want to decrypt the data.
Best of all
it is FREE as in totally free.
The Truecrypt program needs to be installed on the PC in order to mount
the
drive and then unencrypt it for normal use but it is a couple of minutes
of a
job. It is also cross platform (Mac and Windows). Only drawback is that
the
"encrypted disk" needs to be pre-allocated size wise.
I believe there is a Truecrypt alternative that was developed to
circumvent
the potential access issues but can't remember its name.
I use it on all of my USB Drives.
