I'm also digging into some Machine Learning stuff w/ Python. Interesting stuff! Last weekend was a free Pluralsight weekend so I spent much of it consuming as much Python material as possible. I'll check out that Syncfusion site too - thanks!

Thanks Alan,
Retired and working on catching up with "state of the art" in Math and Computer Science, my areas of interest. Been working on the OCW classes at MIT in the Engineering and Computer Science 6.xxx ( free and spectacular 😊 ) they seem to use Python quite a bit. So the free ebook on Python will come in handy.

I expect to work in Python and realize that a language reference assuming experience in VFP would be a good idea.
I don't think it would be a good idea, as with any new language I would learn the patterns and good practices that are appropriate to it. Python is a general purpose language and you'll presumably be doing a lot of interfacing at a low level with sensors and the like, nothing in the VFP world is really applicable.
Sign up to Syncfusion's site, they have a good, free 'Python Succinctly' book, and a load of others too.
