Yeah - to be Honest - sounds Identical to Tic-Tac-Toe, which Google already seemed to prove.
Will admit - that's probably a nice and easy game to implement as a 1st game.

My guess as to that game. A game kids play over here - make a grid of points on paper - then you go back and forth connecting the dots with single lines. When a line connects to make a box - you put your name in it. Player with most boxes is the winner. However, a quick Google search revealed its simply Tic-Tac-Toe!
