I've just gotten notification that many of your accounts on my server were disabled due to excessive bounces, and all of those bounce notices were from gmail addresses. I dug a little deeper, and it seems Google changed the auth requirements for sending email to any gmail.com <http://gmail.com/> account.
I don't have time right now to spend on this, but I will try to update things soon. And yes, I know that the people who are affected won't be able to receive this post, but maybe they'll be curious and check the archives.

Thanks to our generous speakers stepping up and shouldering some of the financial risks, additional sponsorship, and our
hope that the community will respond with more registrations, we are announcing that Southwest Fox 2024 will go on as
planned in-person and virtually September 26-29, 2024. That said, it is with heavy hearts that we announce this is the
final in-person Southwest Fox conference that we are going to put on as it's clear the economics no longer work. Our
plan is to move forward with Virtual Fox Fests in the future.
This is your last chance to hang out with the Fox gang in Phoenix, so if you were thinking about attending sometime,
this is the time.
A final reminder, the Early-Bird discount expires today, Wednesday, July 31st. https://geekgatherings.com/Registration

Folks,
https://github.com/billand88/ChilkatVFP
This was actually released a couple weeks ago, just getting around to
notifications.
Chilkat v1.34 is compatible with Chilkat v99. Some internal documentation
has been added for the Async methods if appropriate.
Don't be afraid to browse the ChilkatVFP source code - pull up Chilkat.VCX
in the Class Browser and roam around the Chilkat instance classes.
ChilkatVFP is both a functional wrapper and an encyclopedia.

We really want to have an in-person conference. If you plan to be at the in-person conference, please register today if
you have not already done so. We are still short of our minimum to make the in-person side of the conference happen by
*six* people. Even if we get six more in-person registrations, we are taking a financial risk. If you plan to attend
virtually, please register for the virtual conference as this impacts the choice we have to make in the coming days.
Plus, if you register now, you get the early-bird discount, which expires on August 1.
For those signed up for the in-person conference, do not make plane reservations until we announce the decision for the
in-person conference, which we expect to make this Friday, *July 26th*.
The conference takes place September 26-29, 2024 in Scottsdale, Arizona and we really hope you can be there. Head over
to the registration Web site now: https://geekgatherings.com/Registration

...since the first message posted to ProFox: exactly 25 years ago today!

It's amazing that something started as a temporary solution to a problem has proven to be so long-lived! And while only a handful of people post regularly, there are still 306 subscribers to the profox list, and 184 to the profoxtech list. So while the Fox might be dead, ProFox is still very much alive!

Not posted for ages but has anyone had any experience in connecting VFP to
an ePDQ credit card scanner and if so what method/interface did you use?
Thanks
Dave

Hello. One of my clients will be changing* this weekend* their server to
either Window Server 2019 or WS 2023
Will Visual FoxPro still work in either of the two?
They did not give me any advance warning (grrrr)
Please reply ASAP
Thanks in advance
