Tracy, Thanks for the help - the first line makessence and executes just fine but the "oTextbox = evaluate" line errors with variable "TEXTBOX11" is not found. Do I need something in my code or on my form to have this work properly? BTW - sorry for not doing this as a reply. My email no longer gets posts from replies to my emails so I need to get them from .the archive. I reported the problem to Mailman at the leafe.com but have not received a response. Unemployed Destitute FoxPro Guy

I know I have not posted much here in the past few years. Life has been a Lot of Ups & Downs in the past few years. I even had what I considered to be my "Dream Job". But, alas- Essentium essentially Imploded a couple months ago - Sadly. Letting almost everyone go from CA site - then they vacated the building last week. Although the TX HQ continues to operate. I've been struggling to find work. Already applied to like 65-70 jobs in past 2 months - and so far, got no positive response nor Any interviews. So - yeah, super frustrated! I even applied to several FoxPro jobs, but still a no go! Figured I would reach out to folks here - in case anyone knows of any opportunities! I know I had code years ago that did this but it apparently got mangled during computer transitions. The code below runs in the load event of a form but results in a blank form. The ,"parent = thisform line" is commented out because it causes a "Property PARENT is read-only" error.. Classlib setting in VFP

Something has happened to my VFP configuration When I do a ?set("classlib" ) I get nothing When I try Set Classlib to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9\Wizards\" the system reports "file c:\program files (x86)\microsoft visual foxpro9\wizards.vcx does not exist. This seems to indicate that the final backslash is ignored and the system is looking for a file called wizards.vcx rather than any .vcx files in the wizards folder. (The Wizards folder contains 4 folders and 16 .vcx files.) I also noticed that the path setting is missing. I have not attempted to set that yet. I mention it because I wonder if it got clobbered at the same time. Can someone give me a clue how to get my system functional without copying the .vcx files to each of my working folders? FW: SQL Upsize

Hi all I am upsizing a Foxpro DBC to SQL 2008 r2. This worked fine with earlier versions of SQL but gives errors to newer versions of SQL. I am using ODBC rather than Native client although it doesn't make any difference to the errors. For one specific table the upsize says 988 rows failed. Only a few records show an error in the report (6) and this is connectivity error failed to convert numeric to float. The destination fields do not show float so not sure what it is complaining about. Has anyone seen the same please. Folks, ChilkatVFP updated again. More "prepping for SWFox" updates. Found several additional Chilkat classes that lacked a Version property (and thereby couldn't instantiate correctly in ChilkatVFP). Added a TaskDownloadTest program to demonstrate very basic tasking. Adjusted some example programs to use iChilkat.VCX. SQL Upsize

Hi Don't know if this upsize code will help anybody else but will share it. This has been run with SQL express 2008r2 Run the upsizing wizard to send the structure with no data. Run this on a backup of the fox data. This uses Pauls CABuilder to generate CursorAdapters for the SQL database It then scans a given folder for all DBFs, opens the CA and sends the records to the ca. If the autoIdent is important then update the records one at a time with TableUpdate(.f.) and call the DBCC function to change the ID. This code updates every 1000 rows with tableupdate(.t.)
