ChilkatVFP 1.2 released

Folks, ChikatVFP can be found here: https://github.com/billand88/ChilkatVFP The big update for me is the ability to pass ChilkatVFP objects as object parameters to Chilkat methods. ChilkatVFP will recognize that the passed object is a ChilkatVFP object, grab the associated Chilkat object and pass that to the Chilkat method, and reattach it upon retrieval. The motivation was matching all the Chilkat examples. It was getting hard to constantly remember that prior to this version, one had to write (for instance) *loChilkatVFPEmail.oChilkat *as the object parameter. Now one can simply pass the ChilkatVFP object and ChilkatVFP handles it for you. There's also an enhancement/kinda bug fix involving the handling of non-implemented features in source code. Implementing both of these enhancements involved deep dives into the source, which encouraged other side fixes for things noticed while I happened to be there... VFP6 vs VFP9 query time on large table

I have a large table, about 1.5GB with an index on invno which is a char 6. Files are on a file server, client machine where I am running VFP6 and VFP9 is connected via gigabit ethernet. I run SELECT * FROM invoicdt WHERE invno = '989426' In VFP6 it takes about 6 seconds. In VFP9 it takes about 60 seconds. Report with 2 Columns, Left to Right and Groups

Hello everyone, I don't work with the VFP reports very often. My coworker brought up a problem he has found when building a custom report for a customer. Using a single flat table and building a report with multiple columns and have it go left to right the details properly go left to right. Once a grouping is added to the report, everything prints in the left column only. Switch the report to be Top to Bottom and both columns are used. For what is in this report, it would be better to have this left to right. Custom programming to group things before going to the report is not an option. Creating a similar report in the IDE, not the runtime, does not exhibit this behavior. Does anyone have an idea on how to get the report to behave? We have tried this in VFP 9 SP 2 HF 3 Thank you, Tracy
