New Job & The Silence is Killing Me...

Wow - seems like in the past month or so - its gotten VERY Quiet around here!!! Seems an oddity occured - and I started getting these ProFox emails again to my main email addy. So - just noticed this recently... And - for those that follow my Meanderings thru this thing we call life - I was last working Tech support at Northrop-Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA - and was there for like 1 year and 2 months. Well - I know moved onto a New Gig - which may be my true DREAM JOB - as its a 3D Printing co. in Irvine - building Big and Hi-Tech and FAST 3D Printers! So - its VERY Cool indeed!!! Disappearing pop-up windows (like the Find window dialog in Code References, and sometimes the entire Debug window)

VFP9SP2 Win10Pro Dell Latitude 3400 and my favorite color today is red. Has anyone come across where your resource file just seems to get crazy and show windows in coordinates that are entirely off-monitor and you cannot see them? I do! Started not too long ago. I use a dual-monitor setup and on very rare occasion have my laptop lid open too while on the dock for a (unintended) 3rd monitor display. I can only guess that my re-arrange monitors perhaps has caused this. It's very frustrating. I've nuked the resource.dbf file a couple times but it repeats behavior. (Off the top of my head, I can't recall if the ZAP of resource.dbf fixes it or not, but if it does, eventually it happens again where I cannot see the Find window.) Only thing more I can contribute: leftmost monitor is #1 and right (and sometimes middle) is #2. Laptop sits at far right of my desk. Ideas? Tia. -- Michael J. Generate Restful API for a database

Hi, I'm converting a system that I've had running for the last 15 years or so against SQL Server/PostgreSQL to start using a restful API. I'm looking at doing this API in nodejs and probably using Express. It looks like tedious repetitive code that should be good for a generator. Just heard the new verbage concerning Insert/Update

The method is UpSert Your database has an object, stored procedure in SQLServer case, that receives all the parameters for a single row of data for that table. The first thing you do is attempt an update of that row. If nothing is updated you then do an insert of those same params. I have been doing this practice for 1-2 years now and just heard the catchy name for it. Google Sheets

Before I start I just wondered if anyone has any experience of interacting with a google sheet from VFP? I have a licensed copy of ChilKat and have successfully create an app and authenticated and managed basic read and write bulk data updates. But now need to my head around identifying and updating existing data so thought now was a good time to see if there is any advice or tips knocking around out there. Printing PDF's

Hi All We are currently printing some PDF content using the shell print function that just triggers the default application for opening PDF's to do its stuff. We have a lot of A5 content which needs to printed to fit A4 paper, is there another method I could use that would give us this control.
