Google API for Geocoding ... Again

Fellow Gentlemen, I posted a request about doing geocoding requests to receive back a Lat/Long dataset for various addresses a few weeks ago and now find that Google do in fact provide a Geocoding service: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/start The responses back from the requests are all JSON from a Java Script API run by Google. I have looked over Rick's Westwind site to try and get a start on using this method to get back a JSON response but seem to be getting nowhere fast. Anyone got any ideas on a simple & neat way of retrieving this data back using VFP programmatically? Either that or anyone know a free Geocoding site that would handle up to 100 name and address calls per day ideally by sending a text file and receiving one back which could be automated from the VFP end. Never even looked at Web services in anger before so it all seems a little baffling and terribly long winded at the moment unless I am missing something obvious. Note I don't want to have to drop into an intermediate program/language to accomplish this, if possible. Dave

Unexpected results from a group by clause

I have an SQL select statement that includes a group by clause to order the output for reporting. It gets its data from a table that potentially includes legitimate duplicate records. SELECT account, date, memo, paid_amoun; FROM QB; GROUP BY account, date, memo, paid_amoun; INTO CURSOR det I happened to discover that the output of the select statement does not include duplicate records. Is this expected behavior? If so , how should one group data with duplicate records? Tuning VFP SQL Pass-Through For Fastest Times Transferring Query Results

I'm working on a project which involves issuing multiple queries across several SQL databases and servers. At this point, I'm polling about 30 databases and retrieving data from four tables from each database. I really have no reason to complain as my procedure including retrieving the data synchronously over a VPN, processing results locally and then exporting the data to local files only takes about 6 minutes. However, I see this as an opportunity to tune my sql back-end connection and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions say for setting the PacketSize or other changes that might optimize the retrieval of data from the server(s). FoxPro/VB for Sale...

VFP9 Screwed - HELP!

Fellow Gurus. Any input welcome as to why my VFP9 all serviced packed to date and working no problem on Win 10, 64 bit has suddenly died and won't come back to life. Not worried about why it went wrong, I just want a working VFP system. For some reason VFP remembers the old projects I had loaded at the time it died (C5 error...) and no won't forget the projects that were loaded. First I tried a repair option and still C5's on opening and then tried a n uninstall, reboot then install and it still c5's on opening my old projects which I assumed it would have forgotten but obviously not. Removed all traces of FoxUser.* to no avail. Running VFP 9.exe /regserver or vfp9 /a has no effect on loading the old projects despite saying it should ignore any registry settings an primarily unregistering VFP. Any ideas how I get a simple no projects loaded VFP application loaded? Of course it would happen on Year End stocktake day wouldn't it!! Grrrrrrrrrr!
