[NF] Desktop icons for your Win10 installations

I noticed my old 32x32 icon graphic looks grainy on a client's Win10 desktop. Did we ever get the ability to use a better quality icon file in Win10? tia, --Mike

[NF] New laptop coming in 8 days!

Alright. My MBSS Christmas present arrives in 8 days. 256 SSD hard drive, 16 GB RAM, Win10Pro, 2 new 24" wide screen monitors....all from Dell. My current dell is going good after 5+ years so I'm hoping this one too will last quite a long time. Thanks to all for your inputs.

Graphic: https://www.screencast.com/t/WVAXSEUj I downloaded this on 11/15 at 2:11pm EST but for the life of me I can't recall from where, and I need to cite the reference for others to determine if we can use the image in a website. I had setup my browser to NOT keep track of history (seemed like a good idea at the time) but that's now screwed me. I know the file is called jobsreport.jpg but that's about it. Ugh. My corporate day gig is a BUSINESS ANALYST now (which I am really liking, despite it not being developer pay-level) and I was using Google search, Images tab, looking for graphics to fit a Visio diagram I was prettying up. I looked at the properties of the downloaded file but it didn't give me any clues. I thought there was meta-data that could have indicated its source. Ideas anyone? Thanks, --Mike

VFP9 latest service pack (9.0.0.7423)

Installed VFP9 today on the corporate gig laptop. Trying to find the runtimes to get me to 9.0.0.7423 (the last/latest/greatest). Followed the links on https://www.berezniker.com/content/pages/visual-foxpro/vfp-90-versions. I'm at the 9.00.0000.5815 runtime but want the 7423 to be current. (Yes, you can stop laughing now since "current" and "Visual FoxPro" haven't been in the same church in over 13 years!) lol wOOdy's old site no longer is operational. (That's where I got them in the past.) I was on fox.wikis.com earlier which led me to the above sites. Suggestions? tia, --Mike

VFP9 Code References problem

I remote into a colleague's computer via RDP. I open VFP and try to do a Code References search in a project, but it immediately asks me for a file location (OCX?) and then says "Class not registered" when I hit cancel (because it gives no name as to what it's looking for). Ideas? I've asked him to review and fix but am curious in the meanwhile. tia, --Mike

[NF] SSD drives vs. 7200 rpm drives

Well, I've been talking about it for a couple years now. I think I'm going to buy a laptop this week for some Black Friday deal (hopefully) to get the best savings. I bought a Surface Pro 3 from a friend last year but I'm used to a Dell Latitude laptop that fits in my docking stations so I'm not taking to the Surface Pro 3 I guess for that reason. Plus I need to wipe his image (it was a buyout from his company) and hence "if I have to spend for that, why not just spend a little more and get a new Dell Latitude." My question here: I LOVE LOVE LOVE the SSD drives, but of course the 7200 rpm drives are cheaper. Would YOU spend the extra $$$ for the SSD drive (despite it also being smaller in size than the RPM drive)?
