Google API for Geocoding ... Again

Fellow Gentlemen, I posted a request about doing geocoding requests to receive back a Lat/Long dataset for various addresses a few weeks ago and now find that Google do in fact provide a Geocoding service: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/start The responses back from the requests are all JSON from a Java Script API run by Google. I have looked over Rick's Westwind site to try and get a start on using this method to get back a JSON response but seem to be getting nowhere fast. Anyone got any ideas on a simple & neat way of retrieving this data back using VFP programmatically? Either that or anyone know a free Geocoding site that would handle up to 100 name and address calls per day ideally by sending a text file and receiving one back which could be automated from the VFP end. Never even looked at Web services in anger before so it all seems a little baffling and terribly long winded at the moment unless I am missing something obvious. Note I don't want to have to drop into an intermediate program/language to accomplish this, if possible. Dave

Properties Window

Hi all When I start VFP the properties window opens and shows properties for the desktop. At this point the properties window is dockable. I change it to not dockable and close it. I open a form class in the class designer and the properties window for the class opens and is non-dockable. So far so good. I close the class designer and the properties window closes. This is exactly what I want. I quit VFP. I start VFP and, guess what, the properties window opens dockable and shows properties for the desktop. This is NOT what I want. Any suggestions as to how I can prevent the properties window from opening when VFP starts. Thanks Paul Newton

VFP7 SP1, InstallShield MSMs, etc.

Hi, folks: I find myself in the funny position of having to recreate a VFP7 development environment, and having some trouble locating all the pieces. My VFP7 DVD (and serial number!) were in the proper place in the archives, but I wasn't as careful about archiving the SP1 patch nor the matching patches for the installshield MSMs that install updated runtimes. The MSFT site has a link for VFP7SP1, but it errors out. Google points out InstallShield updates, but it too 404's. I do have the vRunFox7 executable, of course (thanks, Ed!) and the runtime installer from dfPUG, so I can cobble something together.
