Development platform/language

Just sitting here on a hot July Friday and pondering development platforms and languages. In the past a lot of discussion has focused on Python, and there's always Ruby, etc., and I'm impressed with XOJO...what I've seen so far. Of course Microsoft is still a player, but other than Visual Foxpro, what is the current "most likely to succeed" development platform/language in this group's opinion? Just throwing it out there...curious what the pulse is and where things seem to be going in mid-2016. Have a great weekend! Mike Copeland

Mobile App

With all this talk about platforms and languages, I'll throw this out there. I would like to design something that will work on a mobile phone. Apple and.or Android 1 Your system device name. Can be a serial number or some other unique 10 character value 2 Start Date/time 3 A 10 digit number 4 Stop date/time Email this data to an email address After emailing, a button to erase the data file. Cannot Write to Read Only File

FPW26 pops this error for every loading of programs: Cannot Write to Read Only File I just got a new PC. It runs WIN10 64 bit. I loaded VMWare Player Station 12 running WIN XP SP3 I went to the Host folder [FPW26] and unticked [Read Only] and included subfolders. Each time I check the properties on the Host, [Read Only] contains a black square.
